THE bright summer sunshine arrived just in time for Okehampton Primary School's sports day on Friday, July 5.

Children from Key Stage 2 battled it out in a number of events, including javelin, the 100 metre sprint, egg and spoon, beanbag throwing, and an obstacle race.

Each child worked hard to earn points for their team.

In the end, the Discovery team, dressed in green, won the team prize.
