OKEHAMPTON Community Recreation Association (OCRA) set out proposals for a sports pavilion in Simmons Park to the parks committee of the town council last week.
Stuart Lord, representing OCRA, the charity aimed at promoting and developing leisure and sports facilities in the area, provided committee members with sketch drawings of the group's proposed ideas for the bulding.
However, council members agreed to defer a decision on the structure to a full meeting of the town council at a later date, pending legal advice.
OCRA has received funds for the project from Devon County Council through its sale of land at Exeter Airport.
