DOGS — and well-behaved owners — are most welcome at a new Okehampton holiday let, after a popular television show helped find the perfect location for the business.

After many disappointments in their long search, Carole and Alan Langman enlisted the help of Channel 4's 'Relocation, Relocation' team to help them find a property suitable for running dog-friendly self-catering holidays in the West Country.

The perfect property came in the form of Bowerland, just outside Okehampton.

The Langman's daughter Lauren runs a successful dog agility training business and has even competed in the World Agility Competition in 2006 and 2007.

Carole said: 'Because of Lauren's business, we decided it would be a great idea to accommodate those people who travel long distances to take part in her training courses.

'We have no limits on the number of dogs people can bring, and, of course, holiday-makers without dogs are equally welcome.

'Hopefully, the programme will attract a bit of business to the holiday lets, which in turn will bring a boost to Okehampton.'

The programme featuring the Langman's journey to their new home was broadcast on Channel 4 at 8pm last Thursday.
