A planning application for three new homes on land north of Town Living Cross in Exbourne has been submitted to West Devon Borough Council.

Comments are invited on the application, 0332/22/FUL, via the planning section of West Devon Borough Council by March 17.

Developer Ben Blackburn has submitted plans for the terrace of three houses which can be seen on the WDBC website.

Also in the latest planning applications to WDBC are plans for a new home on land beside 10 Upper Crooked Meadow, Okehampton. Comments are invited on application 0176/22/FUL by March 17.

Meanwhile in Sampford Courtenay, where the community are currently fundraising to replace the village hall roof, an application has been submitted to the council for a Certificate of Lawfulness for the proposals.

The application, 0539/22/CLP,  proposes removing the existing Delabole slate roof and replacing it with insulation and a new roof of Delabole slate.

This will cover the roof with the exception of the rear northern internal elevations which will be a modern Spanish or similar slate to match the existing roof over the kitchen’s monopitched roof.

Meanwhile, the Dartmoor Multi Academy Trust has applied to WDBC to ask whether it needs prior approval for the demolition of the outdoor pool and surrounding wall at Tavistock College (app 0562/22/PAD).

And in Sampford Courtney again, an application has been submitted for The Stable at Town Meadow to ask whether prior approval is needed to convert an agricultural building into a home. The application is 0496/22/PDM.

They are making the case that the application is eligible for a General Permitted Development Order rather than needing full planning permission, as it is a conversion of an already existing agricultural building.
