CHILDREN in the Shebbear College Kindergarten were recently treated to a visit from Sue Gear who runs the branch of 'Born to be Wild' in Bude.

Sue brought along four very lively hedgehogs and spoke to the children about their habitat, what they like to eat and how people can help to ensure these animals do not decline in numbers.

The children thanked Sue with a card made from handprints to represent a hedgehog and a small donation to help towards her continued work in protecting Bude's wildlife.

The visit enhanced the children's topic on autumn, enabling them see at first hand an animal that goes into hibernation.
