During a ten-week course he was given a thorough induction into the Royal Navy, learning skills that he will rely upon throughout his time in the service. The course culminates with the passing-out-parade attended by families and friends.
Robbie said: 'I joined the Royal Navy to serve my country and to see the world while doing my job as a medic. Training was hard at times but well worth the time and pain.'
Robbie's next port of call is a 20-week course at the Defence Medical Services Training Centre at Whittington Barracks, Lichfield.
