IT wouldn’t be New Year in Tavistock without a performance from the Rock n Roll Outlaws, who, although no longer gigging together as a band, do reform once a year for the annual shindig at The Wharf.
Sam Lillcrap, Shaun Smith, Dennis Church and drummer Glenn will be coming together for one night only to bring the audience all the rocking hits in their usual fun and fast, eclectic fashion.
They will have the crowd dancing with hits from Bryan Adams to AC/DC with plenty of middle of the road material in between.
This has become something of a legendary event now as Wharf press officer Ellie Hudson said: ‘It’s perfect for Tavistock as people can come down to the venue usually after dining out in town and they don’t have to worry about getting taxis back to Tavistock from further afield.
‘This band playing New Year’s Eve is definitely party central for the town and it’s always a real mixed crowd from those in full glitzy evening wear to the usual rock crowd attire — the atmosphere is always electric.’
The event is almost sold out with just a few tickets remaining so if you want to party at The Wharf be sure to get in touch with the box office now on 01822 61116.
