OKEHAMPTON Rotary will close out one of the biggest years in its history with its popular senior citizens' lunches at the Ashbury Hotel.

Simon Essex and his team will once again next week be hosting the very popular senior citizens' Christmas lunches at the Ashbury Hotel on Monday, December 15 to Wednesday, December 17.

This annual event regularly attracts in excess of 300 guests and this year is looking to continue this trend.

The lunches start at noon each day and comprise of a traditional Christmas lunch, carols sung by Okehampton's primary school children, a raffle and a great deal of fun and laughter.

The event costs £10 per head and, due to the generosity of the Ashbury Hotel, all proceeds go to local Rotary charities. Transport from Okehampton area and return is available by prior arrangement from Okehampton Rotary Club members and friends.

Places are available for the Monday and Tuesday lunches.
