THE Seven Stars Inn, located in the village of South Tawton is on the market to lease with specialist property adviser Christie and Co.
Believed to date back to the 17th century, the Seven Stars Inn is the only public house in the village.
There is a patio garden to the rear, a commercial kitchen and substantial owner’s accom-modation which has letting potential.
‘The property has exposed stone walls on the inside, wooden floors and exposed wooden beams. Externally, it is a stone building with an impressive façade.
South Tawton is situated within Dartmoor National Park, minutes away from the A30.
The pub sits on the Tarka Trail, an area popular with walkers, and there is a substantial local community spread out over a number of villages in the surrounding area.
Stephen Champion, business agent in Christie and Co’s Exeter office who is handling the let, said: ‘The unexpected departure of the current lessee creates a tremendous oppor-tunity for an experienced operator to develop the pub into a once again thriving business.’
The Seven Stars Inn is available with nil premium on a new free of tie lease.
A discounted rent is available in year one, rising to £20,000 plus VAT per annum in year two.
