THE Okehampton fundraising group for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research, consisting of five volunteers, spent an enjoyable day at Sainsbury's Alphington Road last Friday as part of a national campaign Big Impact — Small Change day.

The public were superb and in some cases the day was quite emotional.

The group also gave some help and advice to a few people.

Mary Tomes, of Germansweek, on behalf of the group expressed thanks to all the shoppers who kindly donated that day. The sum of £664.33 was raised for the cause.
