A WEEKEND of fundraising will take place in South Zeal with the return of the South Zeal Classic Car and Bike Show this Saturday (April 1).

The show will take place from 10am until 4pm, following in the tyre-marks of success achieved by the event last year, when the beauty of historic vehicles and motorcycles brought to the village from across the country was enjoyed and appreciated without admission charges by local people and visitors alike.

This year the classic show will be raising money for South Tawton County Primary School and St Mary’s Church, both in the village. Vehicles will be on display in the school car park, at the Oxenham Arms and on the village roads.

Owners of classic cars or bikes who wish to enter their vehicles can download a registration form from www.theoxenhamarms,com/events-diary or pick one up from the premises prior to the event. Registration forms can also be completed on the day.

There are winner’s trophies for all classes. Members of the public will become judges for the day, with a £1 voting fee, to determine vehicle class winners on the personal basis of deciding which vehicle you would most like to take home with you.
