NINETEEN years in business and 19 years at the Okehampton Show — that's the proud boast of Hatherleigh firm Devtrac.

Devtrac started by John Jeffrey and David Stanbury, sell tractors, agricultural and garden machinery such as ride on mowers, mowers, chainsaws and strimmers. They employ six full time staff and one part-time.

Over the years at the show their display has won several best stand prizes — ten out of the 19 — and in 2011 was voted best stand in the show.

David, who comes from Black Torrington, said: '2012 was a bad year for farmers not helped by a bad winter so they have been spending their money more on feed for their animals. But this year things will get better and there has been a great demand especially in our garden machinery.'

John, from Great Torrington, added: 'Our customers always say what a wonderful show this is. Okehampton is a real, old country show. Other shows become too commercial trying to attract more people but the Okehampton Show keeps to its country roots.'
