BE transported back to a time of knights, jousting and falcons at an event at Castle Drogo this weekend (June 27 and 28).
Despite being built in the 20th century, the National Trust building is holding a Medieval weekend.
Discover what life was like in the medieval period, learn to be a knight at knight school, have a go at building a castle and then find out how to knock it down again. There will be miniature jousting, medieval games and birds of prey to meet.
The event costs £20.50 for a family (two adults and up to three children) and is free for NT members.
l If the medieval life does not interest you then how about transporting back to the 1920s?
A 1920s tea party will be held on Sunday, July 5 from 11am to 5pm and will see tea taken on the lawn with cucumber sandwiches and scones, before playing a game of crocquet.
