OKEHAMPTON gave a stirring show of pride in the town with the annual civic parade last Sunday.

To the music of Okehampton Excelsior Silver Band, mayor Jan Goffey led town and parish dignitaries, town organisations and fellow councillors through the streets.

Army and air cadets joined in, as did scouts, beavers and guides. A civic service followed the parade.
