MAY I, through your pages, thank Helen Harris, the students and the local councillors for all their effort, enthusiasm and sense of fun during the latest Political Speed Dating event held on Wednesday, July 13 at Tavistock College.

These students were a credit to the principal, their college, peers, families and most importantly them-selves. They were smart, well mannered, incisive and interesting.

There is no doubt more local issues relating to young people, community at large and the environment were raised by the students.

The Political Speed Dating events have attracted positive comments from teachers in the UK according to tutor Helen Harris and as a local councillor I have been heartened by the positive attitude from all participating.
