THERE was plenty to be proud about when Year 11 attended their graduation evening at Okehampton College.

This ceremony was attended by 130 students and their parents and the college said it was a real pleasure to see so many happy smiling faces.

The top two students were Lewis Day and Izzy Ewen who graduated summa cum laude (with highest honours). The next 18 graduated magna cum laude (with great honours) and the next 30 graduated with honours.

They received their graduation certificates from college principal Daryll Chapman and the top 20 received engraved medals.

The other graduates received their certificates from their head of house. There will be a parents' information evening early in the Autumn term to explain the Year 11 graduation process to all current Year 10 parents.

At the KS3 awards evening 197 students and 320+ parents attended a successful awards evening.

In an impressively efficient manner the Year 11 house captains ran the ceremony.

Many more students (425) have been awarded certificates, namely bronze, silver and gold merit for Years 7 and 8 and bronze and silver junior graduation.
