THE beauty college based at Callington Community College held a very successful fundraising day recently, raising £405.71 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

More than 1,000 ultra low emission vehicles registered in Torridge – as campaigners group call for more equal access across UKThe level three beauty therapy stiudents organised the event as part of their NVQ course. They worked hard in order to make the event a success.
During the college day members of staff volunteered to have their legs waxed and then students held various activities in the sixth form centre.
In the evening, level two students provided mini manicures and facials, there was a tombola raffle with prizes donated by businesses and there was also entertainment and refreshments.
The night was well received by all who attended and everyone donated generously for Macmillan Cancer Support.
