THE 14th Son-Rise Cup for Autism was a huge success over the Bank Holiday weekend, with teams and spectators making it a very special occasion on and off the field.

The event, which is jointly hosted by Tavistock Community Football Club and Tavistock College, attracted not only teams from West Devon but from Cornwall, Bristol, Braunton, Bideford, Barnstaple and south Devon.

Altogether there were 130 teams with 1,300 players playing on 38 pitches and refereed by a squad of qualified officials.
