STICKLEPATH Fireshow's popular summer event, the Crafty Capers Summer Workshops week and Fashion Show is back — and it's bigger and better than ever before.

Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy the opportunity to learn and develop new creative skills and show off their creations at the fashion show and exhibition.

The week's activities will see an exhibition of work and cat walk shows on the Saturday afternoon, giving participants the opportunity to display their creations to a wider audience, with prizes for both adults and children for each entry category.

There will be a variety of different craft-based activities, including all the work involved in the fireshow itself, such as puppet and mask-making, costume design and sewing and constructing props.

The workshops are open to all ages, both adults and children.

Children under ten will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult. Children aged ten and over can be left unaccompanied at the workshops, but a parent or guardian must either come along to the start of their child's first session to complete a short registration card, or contact organisers in advance to complete the form.

Categories this year include making a garment from waste.

The workshops will be held from Monday, August 17 to Friday, August 21 from 10am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 4pm, at the recreation ground in South Zeal.

Sessions cost £2 per person, per session.

Participants are welcome to bring their own lunch.
