OKEHAMPTON under-fives put their best foot forward for a sponsored Big Toddle in Simmons Park recently.

The event on Saturday, June 23 was part of the nationwide Barnardo’s Big Toddle raising money to help disadvantaged and vulnerable children.

The Okehampton event raised £133 for the charity.

‘We went searching for themed rocks kindly donated by Christine Munkenbeck, Linda Deane and Made-Well CIC followed by a picnic in the sunshine,’ said organiser Laura Feaver.

‘Toddlers were sponsored to join in or donated on the day. Thank you to everybody who took part. We would also like to say a big thank you to Waitrose for their donation of some snacks and refreshments.’
