THE sound of music will soon be heard at the Forget-me-not café after organisers received a cheque for £100.

The money will buy the café, which is based at The Glen, a new CD player and CDs.

The cheque was presented by chairman of the Okehampton and area branch of the Senior Council for Devon Margaret Woolacott and mayoress of Okehampton Mrs Mary Morse.

Co-ordinator at the Forget-me-not café Carol James expressed thanks to the senior council for all its support.
