AS Advent approaches and the build-up to Christmas begins, Hatherleigh Silver Band has a busy festive period with a number of concerts and appearances.

On Saturday, December 1, the band will perform carols at the Ruby Country Market in Hatherleigh from 10am.

Two days later on Monday, December 3, the band will perform in the Square at 7.15pm for the switching on of the Hatherleigh Christmas lights.

The band returns to Hatherleigh Market on Friday, December 7, with a performance at the farmers' carol servce from 7.30pm.

Dingles Steam Village in Lifton will see another carol service on Sunday, December 9 at 3pm.

The band's own Christmas concert takes place at Hatherleigh Community Centre on Saturday, December 15 at 7.30pm, and during December the band will be playing carols around villages in the area, culminating with a carol service around the Christmas tree in the square on Christmas Eve.
