DEVON County Council has issued an alert to motorists driving in the Crediton area.

On its Devon Alert service, issued at 3.45pm, Monday, April 24, it states: “We have had a report of large amounts of mud on the A377 near to Barnstaple Cross between Copplestone and Crediton.

“We are attending to make it safe, approach with care.”
