THE Devon and North Cornwall Whist Players have raised a magnificent £510 for Cancer Research UK following a fundraising holiday.

Forty players from the group spent a week in Eastbourne, organised by Michael and Janet Scutt fron Sourton.

Through raffles and other fundraising events throughout the week, the group managed to raise the magnificent sum.

For their efforts, the charity posted the group a certificate of appreciation to thank them for their kind donation.

Upon returning to the South West, Janet held a further raffle, which raised £65 for the Devon Air Ambulance.
