HALDON Young Farmers' Group held their annual rally at Okehampton Show.  The YFC tent was full of crafts and produce made by the members, a pair of lambs and a replica cow to milk.

In total, 300 entries were displayed by 40 members from across the five clubs (Bow, Chagford, Cheriton and Tedburn, Newton St Cyres and Okehampton).  Points were awarded and trophies were given to the top scoring members.

The junior member trophy presented by Jon Lee was given to Holly Gilbert; the best boy trophy presented by Mole Avon was given to Chris Berry; the best girl trophy presented by Jean Burrow of the Waie Inn was given to Becky Quicke, and the best club overall was presented by Jon Lee and given to Cheriton and Tedburn YFC.

Each club entered a team of four in the main ring for an 'It's a Knockout' style obstacle course. Members pushed their team-mates in a wheelbarrow through obstacles with a bucket of water on their lap. Bow YFC won with the most water at the end.

In the evening members enjoyed the show dance hosted by Okehampton YFC at Meldon Village Hall.
