THE game started brightly and the team soon found their customary passing brand of football, it was from one of these early breaks that Harry Pope found himself in some space to smash the ball home, Okehampton 1-0 to the good.

The match continued in this fashion and another slick passing move found Lucca Bellamy at the back post to cooly slot home.

This second goal seemed to wake Culm United and they started to pass the ball around nicely and put the young Okehampton footballers under some pressure.

This pressure was soon to be too much and resulted in an own goal which was to prove all Culm could get out the match, but a fine effort from both sides.

THERE was very little between these sides when they met previously at Cheriton earlier in the season.This match was to prove no different, playing with home advantage the Saints started the brighter of the two sides.

Okehampton struggled to find their rhythm in this match and couldn't find that clear opportunity, when it did come in the form of a couple very well struck drives from outside the area these were met with some outstanding goalkeeping from the young Saints keeper.

However this was to be outdone by Okehampton's own keeper.

Okehampton conceded a late penalty which could have been the winner for St Martins if it wasn't for Will St Pierre diving at  full stretch to his right to save this very well struck penalty, earning his side a valuable point.

It is great credit to this young side that they put in as much effort defending games as they do attacking them.
