THE Okehampton side knew this was going to be a tough battle against the two times county champions. But the home team were looking to make improvements on their previous weeks game.

They did not disappoint, the defence was good, communication better and more determination caused Sidmouth problems in the first half.

An unlucky error by the home side in the first half allowed Sidmouth to score first.

The score staying at 5 nil until after the break, Okehampton missing a penalty which would have narrowed the margin.

The second half became a little more scrappy with Sidmouth starting to grow in confidence.

Sidmouth's number 8 scored from the start of the second half and the away team started to support the ball

carrier more.

Sidmouth scored a further three tries in the second half, converting two of them. Daniel Thorne gained a conciliation try for the home side.

Although not the score Okehampton were hoping for this was a much improved performance.
