HALWILL and South Zeal have had some very competitive matches in the distant past and this game was no exeption as both sides produced a very good game of football.

In the first half although the home side pressed, the Zeal defence was always in control with Tom Reilly, Graham Soby and Harry Geering in their goal outstanding.

With Harley Cann and Scott Hooper always dangerous on the break South Zeal could have gone in at half time ahead but several good chances went just wide and the teams ended the first half with honours even at 0-0.

South Zeal went ahead after 10 minutes of the re-start when Scott Hooper capitalised on a mix up in the Halwill defence which allowed Harley Cann a simple tap-in.

The home side worked hard to get back into the game and salvaged a point 10 minutes from time when a well worked move gave one of their strikers an easy finish from close range.
