First wood rolled at Okehampton as Mayor Maureen steps up to mat

THE Mayor of Okehampton, Councillor Maureen McDonald, had the honour of playing the first of the season at Okehampton Simmons Club on Saturday.

She rolled the wood under the guidance of club president Brian Vernon, and the watchful eye of club members.
