TEENAGE racer Finley Arscott from Lifton has been accepted as a wildcard to race in the British Super Bikes Championship at Donington Park this weekend (October 4-6 October).

The 17 year-old is gearing up for the ride at the Bennett’s British Super Bike championship in the Junior Supersport Class on his Kawasaki Ninja 400. Not bad for someone who only took up the sport 18 months ago as a novice, and is currently racing in the Thundersport Championship in the super teens category in races held all over the UK. Recently Finley has been getting regular top five finishes.

His best result was last month at Cadwell Park, Lincolnshire where he finished fourth. In the North Gloucestershire Championship, Finley achieved his first podiums in August, winning two third place trophies at Anglesey. Next year Finley is continuing racing in the super teens, with sights of winning the championship. He will also be looking at competing in more British Super Bike meetings.

He thanks all his supporters, sponsors, friends and family for continued support for his ambition to progress in his career, especially his dad Paul and George Northam for making sure the bike is always safe for each race. His last Thundersport round will be at Oulton Park on October 19 where Finley has the potential to finish the season in sixth in the championship.
