IT has been a busy few days at Okehampton Golf Club.

Ladies captain Michelle Widdows gave her congratulations to the winners of the competition on June 7, with Marcia Collett winning the Peacock Salver silver division, Abby Turner winning the Margaret Down Trophy and Mary Keir winning the Peacock Salver bronze division.

The Devon County Veteran Ladies Championships were held at Holsworthy Golf Club on Monday, June 5 and congratulations to Marcia Collett for winning the Badcock Salver runner up in the scratch competition with a gross 87.

Okehampton ladies also took the Knowle Shield for the best combined score.

Peter Howell was the winner of the Devon Golf Junior Whitsun Medal at Yelverton Golf Club on Wednesday, May 31 with a nett 64.

On Saturday, the June Medal and the first round of the Hutchings Cup was played and the winner of division one with nett 64 after countback was David Williams from in second Norman Heslop, Hayden Morris was third wicth nett 65.

Division two was won by Bryan Evans with nett 66, David Stanbury was second with nett 68 on the back nine from, in third Pete Okopski.

Henry Harbron was the winner of division three with nett 66, Eric Pengelly was second with nett 68 and Mike Charlesworth was third also with nett 68.
