ON Saturday at Okehampton Golf Club in beautiful conditions club president Brian Willcocks hosted the annual ‘President’s Day’ four ball better ball competition.
The event also included nearest the pin and secret hole prizes throughout the round.
The overall winners with 46 points were Alan and Billy Searle; in second place were Reg Prescott and Evan Rees with 45pts and in third were Lee Pengelly and Kevin Cornwall also with 45pts.
The best ladies’ team prize was won by Penny Deakin and Judith Ezard with 38pts and the best mixed prize was won by Alan and Marcia Jones with 38pts.
It was a very enjoyable day’s golf had by everyone which was then rounded off with a tasty hog roast.
