ON Saturday at Okehampton Golf Club in soaring temperatures an individual Stableford competiton for the Centenary Trophy was held.

The winner of division one was Lee Carey with 41 points and closely following into second was Paul Ezard with 40pts. Paul Rattenbury was third with 38pts and Kevin Cornwall fourth with 37pts. Division two was won by Ricky Wooldridge with 38pts; second, Graham Pengelly 37pts; third Graham Moysey 35pts and Joe Bruce in fourth with 34pts.

Congratulations to Bob Jones winner of division three and the Centenary Trophy with 43pts. Andrew Rogers was second with 41 pts, Michael MacDonald was third with 38 pts and Roger Halliday was fourth, 36pts.

On Friday five couples couples from Okehampton Golf Club entered a field of 58 for the prestigious County Flitch Vase - a Stableford foursomes competition for married pairs and this year it was held at Holsworthy.

Oke’s Richard and Di Johnson were third (39pts); David and Jane Warren fourth (39pts) and David and Sue Williams seventh (38pts).
