ON Saturday at Okehampton Golf Club a three ball two to count Stableford competition was held and the winners with 83 points were Paul Douglas, John Haley and Evan Rees.

In second place were Malcolm Hill, Mark Wonnacott and Kevin Cornwall with 82pts winning on the back nine from, in third Steve Peake, Daniel Hudson and Ricky Wooldridge; fourth place was awarded to Lewis Parry, Matt Parry and Will Searle also with 82pts.

On Wednesday the club’s ladies’ section entered a Greensomes competition with drawn partners and the winners with 38 points were Marcia Collett and Sue Davies winning on countback placing Sue Stanbury and Sylvie Gowers in second, also with 38pts. This was followed by much merriment in the clubhouse and Christmas lunch.
