ON Saturday at Okehampton Golf Club in glorious conditions a men’s four ball better ball open Stableford competition was held and the overall winners with an excellent 50 points were Dan Hudson and Matt Parry.

In second place were James Williams and James Stacey with 46pts and third place went to Kevin Cornwall and Alan Searle with 45pts.

The best visitor prize was awarded to Paul Skidmore and Richard Reid from Dawlish Warren with 43pts.

The ladies entered an individual Stableford competition and the winner of the silver division was Penny Deakin with 36pts, Frances Harbon was second with 33pts after countback from, in third Sue Stanbury.

The bronze division was won by Mary Keir with 28pts in second with 27pts was Janet Edwards and Babs Beaney was third with 23pts.
