On Saturday at Okehampton Golf Club the annual individual ‘Turkey Trot Stableford competition was held.

The winner of division one with 41 points was Dan Hudson; in second place was Malcolm Hooper with 40pts, Gareth Holt third with 39pts after countback which placed Kevin Pedrick in fourth.

Division two was won by Alan Lawson with 39pts on the back nine, in second Colin Beardwell also with 39pts, Adrian Raymond took third on 38pts again after countback leaving Richard Heslop in fourth.

David Stallion was the winner of division three with 37pts, Dennis Edwards was second with 36pts, John Latham was third with 35pts.

The ladies’ section played a better ball competition which incorporated the qualifying round of the veterans knock out and the winners with 43pts were Marcia Jones and Marcia Collett who will go forward to represent the club. In second place were Penny Deakin and Sue Stanbury with 43pts and Lin Atkinson and Mary Keir were third with 42pts. Congratulations to Mary who scored a hole in one on the seventh.
