ON Saturday at Okehampton Golf Club in immaculate conditions, a medal competition for the Jim Butcher Trophy was played.

The winner of division one with nett 64 was Malcolm Hooper after countback on the back nine from Rob Green in second. Third place was awarded to Adam Cook with nett 65.

Division two and the Jim Butcher Trophy was won by Russell Bowden with an incredible gross 80 nett 62, Keith Lee was second with nett 63 on the back nine placing Brian May in third. Simon James was the winner of division three with a gross score of 85 nett 65 and Mike Charlesworth was second with nett 66.

James Williams secured third place with nett 67.

Also on Saturday our junior team of Peter Howell, Jay Carroll and Henry Harbron played in the third round of the Basil Steer Trophy at Holsworthy and had a terrific win against Tavistock.

The club congratulated them as they are now through to the semi-finals.
