ON Saturday Okehampton Golf Club held a three ball two to count Stableford competition for the Ted Brown Challenge Trophy.
The winners of division one and the trophy were Malcolm Hill, Kevin Cornwall and Mark Wonnacott with 81 points. Steve Peake Gary Carey and Alan Searle were second with 79pts and Steve Robinson, Ron Copeland and Stuart Tolley were third with 78pts.
Division two was won by Martin O’Connor, James Williams and Bryan Evans with 77pts, Dave Stallion, Reggie Wonnacott and John Halliday were second with 74pts and in third with 72pts were Alan Dunn, Alan Jeffery and Rob Camies.
The ladies’ section played a qualifying Stableford competition and the winner of the silver division with 38pts was Cherry James. In second, with 35pts, was Marcia Jones and in third on 34pts was Lin Atkinson.
The bronze division was won by Maureen Willcocks with 36pts; Vida Appleton was second with 33points on the back nine from, in third, Maggie Caws, also with 33pts.
