OKEHAMPTON Golf Club held a four ball better ball men’s open on Saturday, September 2 in superb conditions.

The overall winners were Steve Peake and Chris Ball with 44 points after countback on the back nine from, in second Rod Wright and Trevor Parker and in third with 43 points were Phil Martin & Lee Pengelly.

Best visitor prize was won by S West and R Mallabone from Portmore Golf Club with 41 points winning on the back nine putting L Pym and R Gilpin from Torquay Golf Club in second.

The best Combination/Okehampton prize was won by Phil Atherton and Gareth Holt with 43 points and the second prize in this category went to Jack Cornwall and Mitchell Hunt.

Many congratulations to Peter Howell winning the regional final of the Junior European Open at Woodbury Park on Monday, August 28 with a score of 72 level par to qualify for the Champions Week Finals in Spain in November.
