ON Saturday at Okehampton Golf Club a large field entered a medal competition for the Adams Salver (best gross score) and the Bill Webber Bowl (best nett score).

The winner of division one and both of the trophies with an excellent gross 74 nett 63 was Richard McFarlane, followed into second by Malcolm Hooper with gross 76 nett 68.

Third position went to Evan Rees with gross 74 nett 68 and David Williams was fourth with gross 76 nett 68.

Reggie Wonnacott took first place in division two with a gross 84 nett 65 and Jack Cornwall was second with gross 82 nett 67. Steve Mander was third with gross 82 nett 68 and fourth was Mike Charlesworth with gross 89 nett 70.

Brian May was the winner of division three with a gross 86 nett 65 and Simon James was second with a gross score of 92 nett 67. Stephen Latham was in third place with gross 93 nett 70 and Roger Halliday was fourth with gross 94 nett 22.
