IT felt as though Spring had finally arrived at Okehampton Golf Club on Saturday with the sun shining, 18 main greens in play and a good field of players.
The competition of the day was a four ball better ball with both scores to count on the par threes.
Division one was won by Steve Peake and Daniel Hudson with 54 points after countback on the back nine from, in second, Chris Pike and Phil Atherton. Third place went to brothers Matthew and Lewis Parry with 53pts achieving a better back nine than Alan Stokes and Lee Pengelly, who also scored the same number of points.
The winners of division two were Barry Ratcliffe and Richard Goodger with 51 points; Richard Heslop and Tim Butler were second with 50pts; Paul Fewings and Keith Lee were third with 49pts and fourth position was won by Ray Stevens and David Way with 48pts.
