AFTER the deluge of rain that fell on Friday, Okehampton Golf Club was relieved to find that they were able to play its October medal competition for the Stanley Bridges Salver whilst being bathed in warm sunshine.

Winner of division one and the Stanley Bridges Salver with an excellent gross score of 69 net 64 was Kevin Cornwall. Matt Soby was second with net 65 on the back nine from, in third Steve Rice. Division two was won by Robert Camies with net 67. Second place went to Adrian Tilley with net 68 and in third with net 69 came Paul Prouse. First place in division three went to Bob Barrett with net 71, closely followed by Aaron West who finished on net 72. Third position went to James Etheridge with a net score of 73.
