OKEHAMPTON Otters Swimming and Lifesaving Club took 12 swimmers to compete in the Exeter Sprints on September 23.
After a full day of racing, in which most swimmers competed in four or five events, the Otters walked away with an impressive collection of 11 medals in total and more than 35 personal best times.
Head coach David Dennis said: ‘This was just brilliant. I didn’t expect so many medals or such big jumps in personal best times. Credit needs to go to the training commitment of the swimmers and our excellent coaching team.
‘We’ve recently changed our coaching structure and modernised. Well done to the Otters who took part. Thanks also to all the swimmers for their professional behaviour and the helpers on the day.’
