CHULMLEIGH Community College Year 11 pupil Brianna Rooke has been awarded the players’ player Trophy in the Okehampton Netball League. Brianna has been playing goal shooter for Okehampton team the Jets since September 2017.There are three divisions in the league, with about 60 members in total, so to get this award, after only a few months, is a fantastic achievement.

Brianna has also played netball for her college since Year 7, and always encourages others to work hard to improve their skills, and never to give up! As she says, ‘even though I’m not that tall I’m going to shoot well.’

Brianna has worked hard at her netball skills over many years, and it has paid off with this award.
