OKEHAMPTON travelled to Tiverton on a perfectly bright and cool morning for hockey. The visitors started strongly and attempts at goal came quickly. Rochelle Hillier's passed the pass into the D for Viv Weatherington to dodge the goalie and hit Oke's first goal.

The visitors fought tirelessly throughout the first half especially with strong defensive performances by Sandy Douglas and captain Nicola Stoneman to help the side push forward into the White Eagle's half.

The second half saw more effort from Oke, who played the ball beautifully among its players in particular between Eilsa Gibb and Lottie Rademaker. Stoneman was inspiration urging the team to not become complacent, however in a counter attack White Eagles scored an equaliser.

The visitors did not give up. A strong effort from Viv Weatherington shot pierced through the White Eagles defence and found the back of the goal to put Oke ahead. The player of the match was Oke's Sandy Douglas.

ISCA ladies 5 4

OKEHAMPTON started well with strong passes between Viv Weatherington, Hannah Whitely and Holly Davidson. However, ISCA were strong and pushed forward to test oke defence, trying the skills of Jennie Humphrys and Sandy Douglas who denied the ISCA attempts.

The ball was moved well out of defence by Jane Jones to Oke forward Winnie Rademaker who made a run into the attacking area before the ball came loose for Rochelle Hillier, whose shot was blocked.

The first half saw a powerful ISCA side be awarded penalty corners, scoring three goals in short succession from loose balls in the area.

The second half showed more promise for Oke, who dominated this half. Storming drives from Winnie and Lotte Rademaker into the D led to a goal by Viv Weatherington. Oke pushed on with determination and were rewarded with Weatherington scoring her second.
