SHEBBEAR College's U13, U14 and U15 rugby sevens teams travelled to West Buckland School recently to compete in the North Devon Schools rugby sevens competition.

The U14 team did not make the semi-finals, but the U15 team finished runners-up. Most impressively, the U13 team won the competition comfortably, beating Park School in the final to make them the North Devon U13 Rugby 7s Champions.

The Devon County Finals were held at Blundell's School last week. This consisted of the eight best schools in the U13 and U15 age groups with the Shebbear U13s losing to Ivybridge Sports College in the semi-finals, but there was some excellent play from Eddie Jones, Tom Robins, Stuart Williams and Tom Whitmarsh. The U15s were beaten by Blundell's and Coombeshead and missed out on a semi-final spot.
