South Zeal Utd 1
Culm Utd 2
A COMBINATION of missed chances and some bad refereeing decisions cost South Zeal at least a point on Saturday.
The first half ended 0-0 as both sides struggled to come to terms with the bumpy pitch and a stiff breeze.
With the home side on top for large periods of the second half Culm took the lead against the run of play when Spencer Stalllion and a Culm forward came together in the Zeal penalty area, the Culm player fell to the floor and the referee gave a penalty.
The home side re-organised and with Darren Gilbert and Redd Cann causing the home defence problems Stuart Entwistle and Daniel Gibbs combined to put Redd Cann through on goal and he scored from an acute angle to make the score 1-1. South Zeal looked as if they would now go on and win but chances went begging and Culm broke and scored the winner 10 minutes from time to give them all three points.
