THE first half in this second round match was cat and mouse but Okehampton had more opportunities. The best chance of the half went to Plymouth when their forward was thwarted by Aaron Dearing in goal.

Less than a minute into the second half Argyle took the lead though with a fine strike from Jamie Mallett who drilled a shot into the corner of the net. Okehampton had to endure their worst period of pressure and eventually succumbed with half hour remaining before wrestling back the initiative creating several half chances.

With 15 minutes to go Argyle regained the lead following great play down the right by Bas Loram and his cross was met in the centre by Ben Barkwill who made no mistake with his header.

Plymouth pressed for the equaliser but with four minutes to go great work down the right and Liam Alford left unmarked on the back post who placed a fine looping header into the far corner to make it 3-1.

This was a superb team display, Ross Voaden, Ben Bickle and Ryan Gross.
