THE game began with strong defence from the North Tawton Ladies absorbing pressure from the Plymstock ladies.

Chip and chase from Tawton full-back Hayley Hopkins led to the first try. Good running from Tasha Currie and Sarah Daymond pushed the girls straight back into Oaks' territory with a fierce fight from the opposition followed by a second try from Hopkins.

Dynamic sprinting from second row forward Georgina Clark Watkins saw her run down the flank but she was taken down just short of the try line.

The second half saw a nice half break by Jo McBain putting Daymond under the post for Tawton's third try.

Fast turnover and clever snipping around the fringes by Tasha Currie brought them up to a comfortable 20-0 advantage but still neither team were backing down. North Tawton's packs continued strong defence holding up a driving mall on their own line. Strong tackling from McBain caused problems for Plymstock resulting in her first try and conversion of the game. A good break down the wing by Becky Ryder was unfortunately let down by a forward pass.

Soft hand by the backs put Hopkins right in place for her hat-trick.

This was a great performance put in from the North Tawton ladies.
