FOLLOWING their recent success in their first Level 2 meet in October, Okehampton Otters Swimming and Lifesaving Club took their fifth swimmers to another level two meet, this time in Plymouth.

Ben Webster, aged 11, competed in eight events achieving seven personal best times; he achieved six, top five finishes, in his age group. 

Having had only one first club swimmer who has taken place in the Devon’s in the last ten plus years the Otters have an excellent five swimmers who have 20 Devon times between them. 

The club said that this higher standard of competitions was down to their fantastic coaching team of Nick Bowles, Will Cooper, George Morgan, Charlie Galley, Dave Bowles and Fiona Aylen.

Club spokesman David Dennis said: ‘A well done must also go to the swimmers and their parents/guardians for their dedication.’
